πŸ“ About This Listing

Up for sale is a 1999 Fender American Standard Stratocaster in excellent condition. I have swapped out the pickguard cover to a mint green one, and the pickup covers and knobs have been swapped out for aged white. The back plate is 3 ply black (I had a black pickguard on it for awhile as seen in some of the photos. It plays amazing and is a great guitar in excellent condition. More detailed specs here from when I purchased it on Reverb:

Up for sale, a 1999 Fender American Standard Stratocaster in excellent condition and in perfect working order. An ash-bodied iteration of the American Standard platform, this Fender reflects the high quality reinvention of the Stratocaster platform in the modern era. With reverence for Fender's past and a host of modern, player-friendly features, this USA-made Strat features a 9 1/2" fretboard radius on the 22 fret fingerboard, medium jumbo fretwire, a two-point tremolo, and Schaller tuning machines, all tweaks on the classic Strat platform that ensure optimal playability and tone. The trio of alnico magnet single coil pickups offer plenty of bite and articulation, and the neck pickup is particularly sparkling, with a round, bell-like tone that's perfect for lead work. Naturally, the five-way switch offers classic Strat quack in the 2 and 4 positions as well, and the sonic range of the guitar reflects the tonewood compliment, with the midrange complexity and note attack of ash, and the immediate snap of the maple fretboard. The guitar balances well on a strap and weighs 8lbs 12oz. This Strat has been professionally setup and dialed in with 10-46 strings and low action. The maple neck has a medium C shape with lots of shoulder and lightly rolled fretboard edges, measuring .850” deep at the 1st fret and .910” at the 12th. The semi-gloss neck profile finish is silky smooth and feels great on the palm, free from wear. The stock medium jumbo frets retain their full factory height with well-rounded crowns and virtually no fretwear, offering easy playability in every register. The nut measures 1 11/16" in width, and the headstock retains the original Fender-stamped Schaller tuning machines which turn very smoothly and hold pitch well with clean chrome plating. All of the original electronics function as intended with the traditional Strat control compliment, untouched solder joints, and original CTS pots which date to '99. The chrome hardware is near mint, and the two-point tremolo system has a very smooth and responsive feel, complete with its full compliment of bent steel saddles. Cosmetically, this guitar is in exceptional condition, and the Natural gloss finish over an ash body is an uncommon pairing. Wear is limited to a spot of targeted buckle rash essentially limited to the plastic tremolo cover on the back, and just a couple tiny nicks on the body as a whole. This is an extremely well-kept 20+ year old Fender instrument, thoroughly vetted to confirm originality and professionally setup to play its best. Gator ABS hardshell case is included.
