This is a 2001 Gibson Les Paul 1960 Classic made in Nashville. For a 25 year old guitar it is in really fine condition. I has been played and has all the minor scratches and blemishes but nothing severe or obvious. Only two changes from stock have been made. It has nickel plated pickup covers to dress it up a bit and the plastic jack plate has been replaced with a metal plate.
Core Features and Description
- Neck Profile: Features the legendary slim, fast-playing SlimTaper mahogany neck.
- Wood & Finish: Traditionally built with a solid mahogany body, a carved maple top, and a nitrocellulose lacquer finish that allows the instrument's tone to age and mature beautifully.
- Pickups & Electronics: Depending on the exact production year, they can range from hot, high-output humbuckers (like the 496R and 500T) to historically accurate Burstbuckers or Custombuckers for a traditional PAF tone.
- Aesthetics: Recognizable by its "1960" engraved pickguard, vintage-style tuners, and trapezoid fretboard inlays.
This guitar has not been gigged with and has lived in a smoke free environment. More pics available upon request.
