Here for sale we have a Fender Tim Armstrong Hellcat Electro Acoustic Guitar in Natural Mahogany finish. Made in China in 2013, this guitar consists of a Solid Mahogany top, Laminated Mahogany back and sides, a Maple neck, and a 19-fret Walnut fingerboard. Other appointments include a Graph Tech Nubone nut, Vintage-Style tuners with Aged White Plastic buttons, and a Graph Tech Nubone saddle. This guitar comes fitted with a Fishman Preamp with controls for Volume, Treble, Middle, Bass, and an onboard tuner.
The Maple neck plays well, with the Fender 'Cβ neck shape profile feeling fairly substantial without being cumbersome. The Satin finish to the rear gives the player a smooth feel along the register of the 25.3" scale length. The Walnut fretboard feels smooth under the fingers, and with its 11.81" radius strikes a perfect balance between comfortable chords and practicality for playing lead lines. The medium frets also offer a traditional yet rock-solid feel along the register.
The Hellcat offers a full and vibrant tone, with an unpronounced yet detailed low end, strong and punchy high-mids and a sparkling treble response thanks to the Laminated Mahogany back and sides. The Solid Mahogany top helps the guitar to project very well, and provides a wide dynamic range. The Fishman pickup translates the acoustic tones of the guitar well and with the Active Onboard preamp, it gives the player a variety of tonal options with the 3-band EQ.
