1997 WASHBURN J9 w/Seymour Duncan P90's

Amazing Korean made instrument that is able to go from a clean and beautiful tone to stretching the limits in power and killer vintage vibe with these upgraded Seymour Duncan P90's. Built in South Korea (Samick factory), this model is widely considered a "sleeper" guitar, providing high-end appointments and quality construction for a fraction of the cost of premium Gibson archtops. This vintage guitar has been properly restored and given the full spa treatment from the good folks at Redeemed Guitars in Raleigh NC including professionally setup and intonated, fretboard treatment and new strings.

To accommodate the pickup swap, the body was routed, and there were visible signs of the modification around the pickup areas. Custom made pickup rings were crafted and added to improve the overall esthetic. The work was purely cosmetic and does not affect the guitar's playability or structural integrity. It plays well and sounds fantastic.

One thing to note is the weight--coming in at 9.5 lbs. While heavier than many semi-hollow bodies, that mass translates into huge sustain and thick, resonant tone. If you like guitars that feel solid and produce big sound, this one definitely delivers. The guitar shows general signs of use consistent with a played instrument, but nothing that affects performance - AKA this rock and roll machine is ready to geaux!

I've personally owned several of these J models from the mid-90's over the years and this one is truly a tremendous quality and value that won't disappoint.
