1984 Ibanez Roadstar II RB650 β FujiGenβBuilt
This 1984 Ibanez Roadstar II RB650 was built at the FujiGen Gakki factory during the era that established Ibanez as a maker of reliable, roadβready instruments.
Itβs in very good condition for a 41βyearβold working bass. It shows honest wear from decades of use, but underneath the scars is a solid, highβquality instrument that helped make the Roadstar line a cult favorite. The neck is stable and it plays with the ease and comfort FujiGen was known for in the midββ80s.
The original Ibanez Super P4 and Super J4 pickups deliver the bright, punchy, articulate tone that made the RB series a sleeper hit.
This one has the factory twoβvolume, noβtone wiring found on certain 1983β84 runs. With no tone pot loading the circuit, the bass has a slightly higher output and a more open top end.
