This is a rare 1991 Ibanez EXB504 bass (all original) in the highly sought-after Purple Pearl (PP) finish. Unlike the dot-inlay EXB404 models from this era, the deluxe EXB504 was only produced for a brief window between 1990 and 1991. It features aggressive, classic 90's pearloid triangle/shark fin fretboard inlays, a factory-blackened headstock, and all-original black hardware. The serialized neck plate confirms this bass rolled out of the Korean factory in 1991, which was the premium transition year utilizing an Agathis wood body for excellent natural sustain and tonal resonance. The neck is lighting-fast and slim. The factory Purple Pearl finish of the body looks like deep eggplant indoors and pops with a gorgeous metallic shimmer under direct light. The pickups are original factory P/J set up and sound fantastic. This bass is in very good condition. There are only two tiny chips that I could find (lower horn & corner in back by neck plate), which I've highlighted in yellow in two photos. Please check all photos carefully and watch the short demo video to see and hear it. It does look nicer in person than in these photos. It comes with a really nice heavy duty Road Runner soft case too. I've described this bass as accurately as possible and I'm selling as described. No returns, if you have any questions at all, please message me. This is an awesome bass, almost impossible to find this Deluxe model with this rare Purple Pearl finish. Thanks for looking.
