This is my 2003 Gibson Songwriter in near-mint condition which I bought on waitlist from Musician's Friend when it was first announced. It has spent most of its life in its included original hardshell case, it's been stored with the strings tuned down slightly to reduce stress and without a battery installed to prevent corrosion. Pictures include the serial number for verification.
It is from the first year of production (2003) and I am the original owner. It's been well cared for. The fingerboard and bridge are cleaned and oiled every few years when I clean my other guitars and it gets an occasional wipe-down with Dunlop 65. I refill the humidifier regularly. But I have just never really played this one for some reason, and I need the space back.
It has not been modified or changed in any way since it left the Bozeman factory. It still has the factory setup. The action is currently .110" (2.8mm) at the 12th fret; neck relief is .007" (.17mm) at the 12th fret. It plays and sounds great and I don't think a setup is needed unless you want to change something. No abnormal fret buzz and the endpin jack isn't scratchy. The pickup sounds great and bright and it also sounds great unplugged. No buckle rash, no significant defects other than some wear on the case. I've even included pictures of the bracing inside to show no mold, no errant glue, and no separation. Even the bridge pins are original and in great condition.
Also included are all original case candy including the humidifier, instructions, hang tag, and pick. (NOTE: It's possible that the humidifier isn't the original. I don't recall ever buying one so I believe it is the original but I'm not certain. In any case, it will be included.) Freshy restrung with Elixir Nanoweb 12-53 strings and the first battery it's had installed in decades just so I could tune it up for a one last good test before posting it here.
I hope you'll enjoy it and play it more than I have been able to! Happy to answer questions if I can.
