[Super Wizard AS 5pc Maple/Wenge Neck]

This asymmetrical neck shape is based on the ultra-thin Super Wizard profile, designed for playability and slimness.

While maintaining a neck thickness of 17mm at the nut and 19mm at the 12th fret, the neck is shaped to become more rounded toward the bass strings (6th string side). This provides a more secure fulcrum for the thumb and enhances playability for technical techniques such as wide stretches and sweep picking, which require a wide left-hand span.

This neck is crafted from a 5-piece combination of maple and wenge, designed to prioritize natural sound while ensuring sufficient strength.

The neck back features a “Velvetouch” finish that feels as comfortable in your hand as a guitar that’s been played for years.

【Macassar Ebony Fretboard】

This special fretboard features Macassar ebony—a hard, highly responsive wood characterized by its distinctive vertical grain—and showcases the “Tree of Life” position inlays, one of the hallmarks of j.custom design.

【Flamed Maple Top (4mm) / Alder Body】

Alder, known for its balanced, bright tone and rich sustain, is topped with AAA-grade flamed maple featuring beautiful grain patterns.

To meet the requests of players who think this way, even if only slightly, we have drilled several holes about 3 cm in diameter into the front of the body. It’s a subtle touch, but it certainly contributes to weight reduction.

The neck heel and body are shaped to be as smooth as possible, creating a seamless, continuous curve. This is a j.custom-exclusive design crafted to deliver ultimate playability in the high frets.

【Deep and beveled lower horn scoop】

The cutaway on the treble side (1st string side) of the body back is deeply scooped to enhance playability in the high positions.

【DiMarzio PAF 36th Anniversary / True Velvet / The Tone Zone pickups】

In pursuit of a natural tone, the neck position features the PAF 36th Anniversary, known for its low output and warm, sweet tone; the middle position features the True Velvet, known for its bright and noise-free sound; and the bridge position features the covered The Tone Zone, known for its powerful sound with balanced output across the high and low frequencies.
