Fender Super Reverb 2-Channel 40-Watt 4x10" Guitar Combo 1963 - 1967 - Black Panel

I bought this in 2020 from a guy who recovered the grille cloth in black. Originally had the drip edge. I redid it myself in wheat. Looks great, but not perfect. The warmest Super I've played for sure. Transformer code dates to September 1966. Seller told me it's a 68, which seems to check out. I believe the faceplate has been replaced. My guess is this was a transitional era piece with a silver face plate but blackface guts and he wanted the BF aesthetic.

I just spent $400 for my tech to go through the whole thing top to bottom. He worked for Metropoulos Amps here in Mid Michigan, building their world famous Marshall clones. He replaced the power tubes with a matched and tested set of Groove Tube 6L6s, as well as two of the preamp tubes that were the wrong value. Two 12AX7s are still there, with two 12AT7s that are brand new. He also installed a bias control, a new 3 prong power cable, and the filter caps were all replaced. This thing is a beast of a gigging amp that will serve someone very well. The tube chart inside the amp is partially there. Reverb and trem work great.

Speakers are non original. Two Eminence Legends and Pyle speakers. I originally planned to replace the Pyles but they sound great. It's the warmest sounding Super I've played. I've probably owned five over the years. Ships fully insured via UPS in the continental US only. Included are the old tubes that weren't faulty.
