The iconic birth and essential bread & butter of amazing high gain tube amp tones, is hands down the Peavey 5150. Eddie Van Halen’s signature amplifier head that first came out in the year 1992 which gave tons of heavy music its special soul/mojo/brutality/whiplash/ecstasy, or whatever you wanna call it, on countless albums we all still love and listen to, to this day. Even fresh new albums/singles coming out currently everyday.

This amp is in excellent condition for its age with minor reg typical wear. Front face control plate has the typical wear you see on most 5150s. Otherwise from the faceplate, it has an indent on the top left side corner shown in pic. No missing knobs or hardware!

Professionally overhauled/serviced! Both the power and preamp tubes tested good with none that are microphonic and should have lot of life left! Main crucial connections all deoxidized and everything is functioning as it should! Ready to plug in and play worry free! 🎸🤘🍻

Shuguang China factory made 6L6GC power tubes matched quad.

Preamp tubes have 3 of the highly sought after Shuguang factory square getter 12AX7 tubes in V1-V3 for absolute best possible high gain tone with lowest noise one of course placed in V1 first slot.

V4 has expensive new Mullard 12AX7 to get the best tone, smoothness, and low noise out of the effects loop.

V5 has a perfect matched Sovtek LPS 12AX7 tube for best performance/reliability for the phase inverter section.

The amp sounds absolutely crushing with clarity
