πŸ“ About This Listing

This is a rare Vintage 1999 Dean Evo Premium that was made in the Czech Republic by Bohemia Musico, (BM) which was producing high-end hand made guitars for Dean and other major brands like Spector, Tobias, and Epiphone from approximately 1999 until 2003.

It has a solid mahogany body with an almost 1 inch thick figured maple top, and the body, neck, and headstock all have cream celluloid binding.  It also has a mahogany set neck with an ebony fretboard, mother of pearl block inlays, and jumbo stainless steel frets. It features Schaller tuners, bridge, and tail-piece, Seymour Duncan Pearly Gates pickups, shielded switch wiring, and shielding paint in the control and selector switch cavities. There’s one volume and one tone knob and they are both push/pull pots. The volume knob coil splits the neck pickup and the tone knob coil splits the bridge pickup.

We shielded both of the pickup cavity routes with copper shielding tape along with the control cavity covers to bring this guitar all together. We also upgraded the bridge pickup to a Seymour Duncan Distortion and we’ve included the original Pearly Gates bridge pickup in the Duncan Distortion box. This guitar weighs approximately 9 Pounds and 15 Ounces and the pickup outputs are: Neck 7.1 Ohms - Bridge 15.9 Ohms and if you spilt the coils the values drop by half.

This guitar was recently setup with D’ Adario EXL110 strings (10-46) and it’s in very good condition with some marks, scratches, a small finish crack in neck binding, and by the nut (See Photos). This is common on guitars that have a poly finish that is applied and coats both the neck and binding (See Photos). The neck and fretboard are straight with no issues and the truss turns freely with plenty of room for adjustments. The frets were recently polished and show very little signs of wear. The original case is included and there’s one broken latch, but the case is still in very good condition and is functional.

Because these guitars are very high quality and hand made, they have a similar feel and style to that of a Gibson Les Paul Custom, but for a fraction of the price.
