Yamaha Power V Special Late 1980’s-mid 1990’s - Marble Red

This is a Yamaha Power V Special kit made at the drum factory in England while Premier Drums was the European manufacturer for Yamaha. These were kind of the experiment that ultimately wound up as their stage custom series. The sizes are as follows. 12”x10” rack tom, 13”x10.5” rack tom, 16”x16” floor tom, 22”x16” kick drum

They are in pretty good condition. The shells are still basically undamaged. Aside from some scratches on the wrap i snapped pics of. And aside from three lugs and three claws on the bass drum, all the pieces are original.

The heads definitely don’t look good and need replacing, but they haven’t taken away from the sound of these excellent shells. I believe they are a Mahogany hybrid.
Overall, when I look at these, I see what could ultimately be a vintage or a prototype stage custom.
