πŸ“ About This Listing

First off these guitars are RARE!
Happy to answer any questions,Yes I am open to wiggle room, but it's a rare original guitar so it's not some bog-standard Tele you can pickup from a shop. It is not a modified guitar, it is not a normal avri '52... these were a rare low volume run by Fender.
Fender haven't made this version for 13 years+, not even in custom shop. These really are some of the rarest of beasts , and I'm heartbroken to let it go. I know I'll not find another.

This is the super rare FACTORY spec '52 HotRod Telecaster, from the American vintage range. For reference to those who've not seen the '52 AVRI telecasters before, they don't put a serial number on the headstock. Dating is only done by taking the neck off and seeing the stamps in pocket, the only serial numbers they have are on Bridge plate (photo attached). So whatever you do, never lose it!!
There's stamps on the neck and pocket giving dates there so you can narrow it down, but it's not same as Gibson's with their "exact birthday" for a guitar.

There are some surface nicks and chips in lacquer around the edges, all photographed. As it's not a new guitar and has been played, enjoyed and loved. Pictures make up part of the description.
None of them effect playing, only a bit of character and it comes in a beautiful G&G case. Note it's advertised elsewhere so be quick if youre a genuine buyer
