Great condition Yamaha Super Bass 500s made in Japan in the early 80s. Check out the video for an idea of the sound. The action is down nice and low at the moment and is playing really nicely up and down the neck.
I refinished the neck with Tru oil and replaced the tuners with a new set of quality Gotoh GB 2 Ns (One of the original tuners was replaced with a Greco tuner and I had trouble finding a matching Yamaha tuner). I've included a pic of the back of the head-stock with the original serial number 002520 before refinishing.
I've also replaced the bridge screws and input jack nut and cleaned up all the hardware and frets.
I've done a basic set-up, action and intonation with .045-.105 strings, but recommend you do your own to suit your playing style and preferred string gauge.
