This Ibanez PM200 Pat Metheny signature model is a beautifully built Japanese archtop, finished in a classic blonde and carrying the kind of refinement and musicality that has made the PM series one of the most respected modern jazz guitars on the market. With serial F2328998, this example was built in Japan in 2023 and shows the exceptional fit and finish you expect from Ibanez’s high end Fujigen production.

The PM200 is the flagship of the Pat Metheny line, designed in close collaboration with Pat to capture his unmistakable warmth, clarity and touch sensitivity. It features a fully hollow maple body with a comfortable single cut design, floating pickguard and a specially voiced Ibanez Super 58 Custom pickup mounted directly into the top for maximum tonal consistency. The result is a guitar with a smooth articulate voice that handles chords and single note lines with equal ease.

In the hands, this PM200 feels effortless. The neck profile is slim and elegant with low smooth action, and the lightweight hollow construction responds quickly to dynamics. Acoustically the guitar has a soft woody glow, and plugged in the Super 58 offers that trademark Metheny style warmth with a focused top end and great definition for complex voicings. It is a remarkably playable archtop that suits straight ahead jazz, modern fusion and anything in between.

The blonde finish presents beautifully with minimal signs of handling, and the guitar is in excellent condition throughout. It comes in its original hard shell case.
