This an early (B) series Jimi Hendrix Cry Baby (from the signature series) These Cry Babys are darker sounding than many of the other options available today, which we consider to be a selling point. Many brighter sounding wahs can struggle for control with any fuzz that follows. The frequency range of these pedals can drive anything down chain. They make short work of octave fuzz, and combine with the pulsing, undulating throb of a decent Uni-Vibe to create a syrupy sound you can practically float on.
Be aware that they can be harder to get the hang of versus many contemporary alternatives. Getting the feel for the transition between the bright vs dark tones is not as obvious as the more mainstream sounding wahs of today. And from what I can tell, there is no special gearing of the wahpot ramp, so you do actually have to play like Jimi did - and really move that foot. If you want a wah that anyone can play, this is probably not it, but you will also pay more. The line below, from the Dunlop site best epitomizes this pedal to me.
"Throaty and expressive, it will fire your imagination."
