This is a YAMAHA PB-400R, a Japanese-made Precision Bass-style bass believed to have been manufactured in the mid-1980s.

It features the solid construction and thick, focused tone characteristic of YAMAHA basses from this era.

While it has the character and appeal of a vintage Japanese instrument, it does not feel overly dated and remains a very practical bass for modern playing situations.

Weight is approximately 4.1 kg (9.0 lbs).

Prior to listing, the instrument was thoroughly inspected and adjusted, including the neck, frets, electronics, and other functional components.

Consumable parts have also been replaced where necessary. On this bass, the strings and pickup cushions have been replaced with brand new parts.

After completing the setup and maintenance, the bass was play-tested and is currently in good playing condition.
