This is a beautiful Made in Japan Traditional '70s Telecaster Custom, made in Japan in 2018. It is a fantastic-looking Tele and is in really lovely condition.
Finished in classic gloss black with a maple neck and fingerboard, black 3-ply pickguard and chrome hardware, this has all the unmistakable styling of the original ’70s Telecaster Custom. The combination of the Wide Range-style humbucker in the neck position and Telecaster single-coil at the bridge gives this guitar a really versatile range of sounds, from warm and full to the familiar bright Tele twang.
The guitar is very clean and has no dings or significant marks that I can see. The black finish is particularly nice and has a lovely deep gloss to it. The maple neck and fingerboard are also in excellent condition.
I have replaced the original stainless steel saddles with a set of brass compensated saddles, which give improved intonation while retaining the classic three-saddle Telecaster look. The original stainless steel saddles are included with the guitar should the new owner wish to return it to the original specification.
The guitar weighs in at 3.88kg (8lb 8.8oz)
The guitar comes with a Thomann black Tolex hard case, again in very good condition.
The serial number is JD17040283 and the guitar is Made in Japan. This is a particularly nice example of the Japanese ’70s Telecaster Custom, and the condition is excellent. A gorgeous-looking Fender Japan Telecaster Custom that is ready to play and would make a great addition to any Fender collection.
Available for collection from Catford, London SE6.
