Fender Highway One Stratocaster project in a classic 3-Color Sunburst nitrocellulose lacquer finish. One of the appealing features of the Highway One series was Fender’s thin nitro finish, which was designed to wear naturally with use and give the guitar a more broken-in appearance over time.

The guitar is currently assembled as pictured minus the neck. The original loaded pickguard is included and currently installed/wired, including the pickups, controls, switch, knobs, and pickup covers. Bridge/tremolo assembly, output jack and plate, neck plate, and back tremolo cover are also included.

As pictured and fully loaded, the body weighs 5 lbs 14 oz.

The neck pocket retains the factory markings, including the 5940 stamp and additional production markings visible in the photos. The body shows normal cosmetic wear, scratches, dings, and signs of use consistent with a played instrument. The thin nitro finish also shows the type of natural wear these Highway One models are known for. Please refer closely to the photos for the exact condition.

Essentially, all it needs is a compatible Stratocaster neck to get it back together and playing. A great candidate for a Highway One restoration, partscaster build, or someone who already has a Fender neck waiting for a body.
