The Limited Edition Precision Jazz Bass Journeyman Relic from Fender Custom Shop combines the punch and authority of a Precision Bass with the comfortable feel of a Jazz Bass neck, all wrapped up in classic Custom Shop craftsmanship.
The two-piece select alder body features a beautifully worn-in Journeyman Relic nitrocellulose lacquer finish, while the tinted quartersawn maple neck has a comfortable 1960s-style “U” profile and Jazz Bass headstock decal. The 7.25” radius round-lam rosewood fingerboard features 20 medium-jumbo frets, white pearloid block inlays, and white nitrocellulose binding.
A hand-wound ’65-’70 Precision Bass pickup delivers plenty of vintage-style low-end punch and growl, with traditional Precision Bass wiring and simple master volume and tone controls.
Other period inspired touches include a four-ply brown shell pickguard, vintage-style bridge with threaded steel saddles, an extra strap button on the headstock, and the rarely seen ’66-style “lollipop” tuning machines.
A deluxe hardshell case, strap, and Certificate of Authenticity are included.
