The EDWARDS E-CY returns, having undergone a significant evolution!

The CY shape debuted in the early 1990s, captivating countless guitarists with its cutting-edge design and exceptional playability. In 2005, the E-CY was introduced as the first regular production model under the EDWARDS brand.

Retaining its original concept while evolving further, this reborn E-CY combines comfortable playability, excellent tonal balance, and the high potential needed for modern playing styles—poised to become a new standard for the modern era.

While preserving the distinctive CY shape, the guitar features a slim 42mm-thick alder body with deep cutaways. The synergy between the generous waist contour and the elbow cut ensures an excellent fit and superior handling, offering stress-free playability during long sessions, whether on stage or in the studio.

Structurally, it employs a hard maple neck-through-body design. Extending the neck wood to the end of the body yields rich sustain, while the boldly sculpted, heel-less joint allows for smooth fingering all the way up to the highest frets. The neck features an "Extra Thin U" profile, accommodating everything from technical phrases to classical playing styles.

The guitar is equipped with Seymour Duncan "Rails" series pickups: the Jazz Rails in the neck position and the JB Rails in the bridge position, delivering clear attack and excellent note separation. A Vintage Rails pickup in the middle position adds the delicate nuances characteristic of single-coil pickups while keeping noise to a minimum. A 5-way selector switch allows for a wide range of tonal possibilities.

For the bridge, it utilizes a Floyd Rose system, renowned for its tuning stability and smooth tremolo action. Complemented by an intuitive control layout—featuring a simple master volume, master tone, and pickup selector—this instrument allows players to fully express their musicality.
