1986 Fender Contemporary Stratocaster HSS Burgundy Mist w/OHSC

Hello there people from the internets! Up for sale is a 1986 Fender Contemporary Stratocaster HSS in Burgundy Mist finish. With the model number 027-8100 this guitar was crafted in Japan during Fender’s celebrated FujiGen era, a period when Fender Japan was producing some of the finest instruments in the company’s history and the Contemporary Series is no exception. It combined traditional Strat ergonomics with modern performance features aimed at the demanding player: the result is a guitar that feels unmistakably vintage in quality yet remarkably contemporary in execution.

As you can see in the photos and video, the guitar is in good condition for its age with plenty of picking scratches on the pickguard, small dings here and there but overall its in good shape for an 40 year old instrument that has been played (please check the video and photos for a better perspective of the guitar's condition and please ask for more pictures if necessary). There are no repairs and everything sems to be original. The electronics seems to be original and everything works properly (no issue whatsoever with the electronics). The frets show some wear in the 7-8 first frets but they have plenty of life left and have been polished to a mirror finish. The neck is straight and extremely smooth, very comfortable and easy to play and it has just been setup to my liking with 10-46 D'Addario EXL.

It will be professionally packed and shipped by carrier (UPS or DPD) in the original Fender Japan Hardshell Case pictured in the photos (it has seen better days but it does its job). Please watch the close-up video for more details. I have tons of more photos so please send me a message if you desire to look at them. Sold as it is.

If there is any additional information that you might require, I’m happy to provide it to you, so send me a message. All serious offers will be considered. If you are a Portuguese customer local pickup is also an option. In the case of international delivery: import duties, taxes and customs are not included. Such charges, if any, are the buyer's responsibility. Have a good day and stay safe!
