________________________________

A gorgeous 1993 Les Paul Reissue with a highly figured flame maple top.

More than fifty years since it was born, the Les Paul remains the guitar world's timeless standard.

Built in 1993, this can be considered a precursor to what would later become the Custom Shop "Les Paul Reissue," a lineup that included 1956, 1957, 1959, and 1960 spec models.

On this example the rear pickup routing markings have been removed so the exact model can't be confirmed, but based on the "HCSB" (Heritage Cherry Sunburst) marking in the front pickup route and a slim, Slim-Taper-like neck shape, it is likely a 1960 Reissue. The rear pickup is a 57 Classic, and based on resistance readings, the front pickup appears to have been swapped to a 496R.

It has some heft, but the front position delivers a deep, sweet, mellow tone, while the rear position offers a sticky yet clear sound.

A versatile character that handles everything from a jazz-like sound to the deep drive of hard rock.
