Selling my Rickenbacker Carl Wilson 360/6 sting in near excelling condition, It does have some superficial paint shrinkage or checking in neck joint that I had my luthier look at and confirmed in finsh in joint finish only, noting structure. I believe this guitar was a true case queen with no sings of being played. Comes complete with all case candy including original poster. COA never out of its original envelope. No other dings or scratched checking any where else on this beautiful collector grade guitar. Shipping only to U.S. buyers. I will end this auction if guitar sells on F/B marketplace first.
A common cosmetic issue on Rickenbackers from this period is finish cracking right along the neck-to-body joint. This happens because the company used a wood-filler paste to flush out the gap between the neck tenon and the body before painting. Because the filler shrinks at a different rate than the maple body, it almost inevitably causes a hair-line crack in the clear coat over time. It is a cosmetic flaw rather than a manufacturing defect or structural failure.
