Fender Japan Jazz Bass Special PJ-555 – E Series – Black – MIJ

For sale is my Fender Japan Jazz Bass Special PJ-555, Made in Japan, serial number E795350, from Fender Japan’s highly regarded E-series period.

The model is confirmed by the original PJ-555 factory markings on both the neck heel and body neck pocket, as shown in the photographs.

Finished in the distinctive all-black configuration, this bass features a gloss black body, matching black headstock, black hardware, rosewood fingerboard and the classic gold Fender Jazz Bass Special headstock logo.

The Jazz Bass Special combines a streamlined Precision-style body with a slimmer Jazz-style neck and versatile PJ pickup configuration, giving it plenty of tonal range from deep, punchy P-Bass sounds to brighter and more defined tones from the bridge pickup.

This example is in excellent vintage condition, particularly considering its age. The black finish still presents extremely well, with minimal signs of use and age as shown in the photographs.
