2008 Gibson Les Paul Classic – Bullion Gold

Genuine 2008 Gibson Les Paul Classic finished in Bullion Gold, supplied with its original Gibson USA hard case.

The guitar has also been verified directly by Gibson Europe from the serial number and photographs. Gibson confirmed it as a genuine mid-2008 Les Paul Classic in Bullion Gold.

The guitar plays and sounds superb and, for an instrument approaching 20 years old, presents very well. It weighs approximately 3.95 kg (8.7 lb) on my digital scales.

It retains the classic Les Paul specification including the slim '60s-style neck profile, Grover tuners and the distinctive green-aged fingerboard inlays associated with Les Paul Classics of this period.

Condition

The guitar is in very good used condition for its age. There is some buckle rash to the rear, a few small marks/dings and areas of natural lacquer checking/finish lines consistent with age. There is also a small cosmetic chip/mark around the headstock area. I have deliberately photographed these areas so buyers can judge the condition accurately.

The original Gibson hard case is included. The case is fully usable but shows cosmetic wear from age and use.

The original “1960” pickguard is included. I removed it for preservation and fitted a replacement pickguard. The original plastic jack plate was also replaced after it began to crack. These are cosmetic changes rather than structural modifications.

This is a particularly attractive example of the later 2008 Les Paul Classic in the less commonly seen Bullion Gold finish.
