About This Listing
Thank you for checking MIKI GAKKI!
Please note this is an autotranslation of the Japanese description. If you have any questions, please ask. ------------------------------ The D-35, a long-selling model released in 1965, overturned the traditional construction of Martin guitars up to that point. Due to its structure, it offers a different sound and charm from the D-28, making it an indispensable model when discussing Martin guitars. This particular instrument is a used 1992 model. It features a spruce top, Indian rosewood sides and back, mahogany neck, ebony fingerboard and bridge, original rotomatic tuners, pearl fingerboard dots, black pickguard, and non-scalloped X-bracing. A strap pin is installed on the neck heel. While the bass punch of a D-35 is somewhat subdued, it retains thickness and depth, and the treble is bright and sparkling, resulting in a pleasingly balanced sound. With a crisp attack and clear resonance, it's an all-rounder that covers everything from folky, gentle whispers to powerful, forceful strums. The sound separation is also good, making it suitable for fingerstyle playing such as arpeggios. There are small dents and light scratches, as well as binding repairs, minor paint lifting near the top bridge, and paint peeling in six places around the nut on the headstock veneer. However, considering its age, it has been kept in good condition and appears to have been cherished and played carefully. The neck condition is good and the string height is appropriate. This D-35, known for its excellent separation and resonance, is in good condition. Original hard case included (one of the hardware pieces is missing).
