About This Listing

Up for sale is an incredibly beautiful, early-run 1996 Guild Bluesbird manufactured at the legendary Westerly, Rhode Island factory. This premium instrument features a highly coveted, deeply figured "AAA" Quilted Maple top in a gorgeous Gloss Natural finish. Because it features a natural finish, the spectacular, cloud-like 3D ripple effect of the quilt pattern is fully showcased on the carved top, beautifully contrasting the dark mahogany back and sides.

Serious Guild players know that the late-90s Westerly era represents a high water mark for the brand. This guitar features a rare, early-run serial number (CL000300), making it the 300th chambered Bluesbird reissue ever stamped out of the factory during its first year of production in 1996.

  • Original Pickguard Installed: This guitar features its original factory-included pickguard cleanly mounted to the top. It looks fantastic, complements the single-cut aesthetic, and protects the gorgeous natural quilt finish from pick scratches.
  • Overall Condition: Excellent vintage condition for a 30-year-old instrument. It shows only minor, honest signs of light play wear (faint surface swirling/polishing marks under direct light). No major dings, gouges, cracks, or structural issues. The neck is straight, the frets have been professionally leveled crowned and polished and it plays beautifully up and down the neck
  • Pickups: All-original factory Seymour Duncan '59 Humbuckers SH-1's (delivering incredible PAF-style clarity, warmth, and bite).
  • Body Construction: Chambered mahogany body with a carved quilted maple top. It gives you all the fat sustain of a vintage single-cut, but at a fraction of the weight of a standard Les Paul.
  • Controls: 2 Volume, 2 Tone, 3-way toggle switch.
  • Case: Includes its original factory Guild hardshell case with a plush interior and all original case candy. All latches and the handle are fully functional.

This is a phenomenal, investment-grade example of premium American guitar craftsmanship. The guitar will be packed securely with professional materials and shipped via Reverb Safe Shipping with full insurance and signature tracking required.
