For sale is a 1953 Gibson ES-125, a fantastic example of Gibson’s classic early-’50s hollowbody archtop.
This is the full-depth, non-cutaway ES-125 with the legendary single P-90 pickup in the neck position. It has the warm, woody acoustic character and unmistakable punchy P-90 sound that make these early ES-125s such great players.
The guitar has plenty of honest age and wear consistent with its 70+ years, including finish wear and other cosmetic signs of its history. It has a great vintage look and feel, and the photos show the guitar’s condition in detail.
Specs:
This is a real 1953 Gibson, not a reissue or reproduction. These guitars are incredibly versatile and sound fantastic for jazz, blues, country, roots, rockabilly, and recording.
I’ve really enjoyed owning and playing this guitar, but I have more guitars than I need and it’s time for this one to find another home.
Please look closely at all of the photos, as they are part of the description.
